If you love being the first to see something new, you’ll want to put this spot on your list. Ocean Allure Costa Mujeres officially opened its doors in December 2025, making it the newest jewel in the Ocean by H10 Hotels collection. Everything about this place feels crisp and untouched, from the modern architecture to the pristine gardens that surround the property. It’s located in a more private, upscale area north of Cancun, which gives you a much quieter and more exclusive experience than the busy hotel zone. Staying here so close to the grand opening was a treat because you can really tell the staff is excited to show off their brand-new home.
1. The Grand Entrance

The first thing you see when you arrive is a massive, beautiful waterfall that creates a really peaceful sound as you step out of your car. Right next to the water feature, there is a row of flags representing the countries of their guests, including the US and Canada, which is a nice way to welcome international travelers. The entrance is designed to feel very open and grand, giving you an immediate sense of the scale of the resort. It’s a great spot for a quick photo before you even get to the check-in desk. You can tell right away that they wanted the “outside” to feel just as fancy as the “inside.”
2. A Lobby with a View

The hotel lobby is huge and very spacious, with high ceilings that let in a lot of natural light and ocean breezes. I spent a good amount of time just sitting in the lounge area, taking in the upscale atmosphere and the modern furniture. There is a large lobby bar right in the center, which is the perfect place to start your vacation with a drink. I grabbed a cocktail and just relaxed for a while, watching people arrive and enjoying the chill background music. It’s a very social spot, but it’s big enough that you never feel like you’re being crowded by other guests.
3. The Junior Pool View Suite

The room was honestly my favorite part of the entire stay because of how much space I had to move around. I stayed in a Junior Pool View Suite, and the layout was very smart, with a large balcony that looked right over the water. The walls were decorated with unique paintings that added a pop of color and made the room feel more like a boutique apartment than a standard hotel. Since I was lucky enough to arrive on New Year’s Eve, the hotel team left a bottle of wine in my room to celebrate. It was such a thoughtful touch that made me feel special right from the very first night.
4. Endless Pool Options and the Beach

You definitely won’t get bored of the water here because the resort has so many different pool options to explore. There are five different pools in total, including a fun wave pool and a lazy river where you can just grab a tube and float for hours. If you prefer the ocean, the beach is just a short walk away and features that famous powdery white sand that Costa Mujeres is known for. The water is a bright turquoise and stays very calm, making it perfect for a morning swim or just lounging under an umbrella. It’s easily one of the most beautiful stretches of beach I’ve seen in this part of Mexico.
5. Bowling and Late Night Fun

One of the coolest features of this resort is the Strike Bowling Alley, which is a great place to hang out after the sun goes down. The whole alley is decked out with glowing LED lights that change colors and really set a fun, energetic mood for the night. There is a full bar located right inside the bowling area, so you can enjoy a drink while you wait for your turn to play. I had a blast here, and it’s a nice change of pace from the usual nightly shows you find at other resorts. It’s a high-energy spot that’s perfect for meeting other guests or just having a fun night with your group.
6. Where to Eat: My Restaurant Review
Los Corales Buffet

This was my go-to spot for breakfast and lunch because the variety was just incredible. It’s a massive international buffet with several “show cooking” stations where you can watch the chefs prepare food right in front of you. My favorite part was definitely the fresh lobster—it’s not every day you see that at a buffet, and it was cooked perfectly every time. The dining room is very open and bright, making it a great place to start your day with a big meal.
The Steakhouse

If you’re a fan of a good dinner, the Steakhouse is a restaurant you can’t miss. I found the steak to be incredibly flavourful and seasoned just right, which isn’t always easy to find at all-inclusive resorts. The atmosphere is a bit more intimate and “night-out” ready, making it a perfect spot for a nicer dinner. The service was also very attentive here, and they have a great selection of sides to go with your main course.
Sakura (The Hibachi Experience)

I had such a fun time at Sakura, which is their Asian-inspired restaurant that features teppanyaki grills. I’ll be honest, I felt a little impatient waiting for the food to be prepared because the “show” takes some time, but the atmosphere made up for it. The chefs are great entertainers, and it was such a vibe watching everyone sing and cheer while the food was being cooked. By the time I finally got my meal, I was just happy to be there and really enjoyed the food and the high energy of the room.
Mike’s Coffee Shop

I found myself at Mike’s Coffee Shop at least once every day for a little caffeine fix. They have a really nice selection of specialty coffees, teas, and fresh baked goods like cakes and cookies. It’s a very cute, cozy spot that feels like a real neighborhood cafe tucked away inside the resort. It’s the perfect place to grab a latte and a snack if you need a break from the heat of the pool.

This is the place to go if you want a meal that feels like a true Caribbean vacation. I had the tastiest fried fish meal here, and it came served with a side of plantains. For those who aren’t familiar, plantains are a major staple in the Caribbean—they look like big bananas but are much more savory and delicious when they are fried up. Eating fresh seafood right by the water was a highlight of my trip, and the flavors were just amazing.
7. Watch the Full Hotel Tour

If you want to see exactly what the resort looks like, I’ve already posted a full tour on YouTube. This is a deep-dive, 28-minute video that shows you every corner of the property so you can decide if it’s the right fit for your next trip. I’ve also posted the video over on MSN if you prefer to watch things there. However, if you want the easiest viewing experience, I’ll leave the YouTube link right here for you to check out:
8. Should You Book a Stay?
Overall, I think Ocean Allure Costa Mujeres is a great choice for anyone who wants a chill and relaxed vibe for their vacation. It’s a beautiful property with a lot of high-end features, and the food and service were both top-notch during my stay. The only real “con” I noticed is that only some of the pools are not heated, which I hope they change as the resort continues to grow. Even with that one small thing, the amazing beach and the spacious rooms made this an incredible trip that I would definitely recommend.
